Pigs...

Much better alive than spinning round on a skewer.

Meat pollution?

Surely there is such a thing as smell pollution?
I work in town and every now and again (though it feels more often than that) there is a crap market that takes up the WHOLE OF THE STREET! I hate it. (It's there right now, hence the moan)
There are always, right outside my shop, a "Meats of the World" stall, cooking its stinking Ostrich and Bison and other things that would be much better alive, and a "Hog Roast", complete at 8am with a pig (including its head)... this pig (as the name suggests) roasts AAAAAAALL day long.... and to keep him moist.... a cup of water is poured all over him. So come 2pm when all the idiots go and buy some meat carved from the pig.... its just grisle and water... nice.
But my main problem is the SMELL. It's disgusting. I don't eat meat thus I don't want rotating animals spinning round in a hot box right in front of me but even my carnivorous chums agree that the smells are foul.
Just think.... combine this hideous cooked animal smell with Paella, donuts, chocolate waffles, garlic potatoes.... oh yes Yum Yum... but not all together and not all day long when you're trying to work.
And the people that go to it must be total chumps! Its so expensive. They sell all manner of crap t extortionate prices... I made the error of trying to buy a chunk of coconut ice wants nd it went a little bit like this:
Me: "please may I have a piece of cocnut ice?"
Man: "no. we don't sell it by the piece. It's £4.50 for 100g"
Me: "OK, doesn't matter" (walks way)
Man: (panics) "no! wait! we do! I'll do this once!"
Me: "Oh so you do do it."
Man: "£1"
Me: Holy shit I should've just gone to Marks and Spencer.......... £1 for a piece... a SMALL piece.... of coconut ice. Never again
nd so this cycle must go on on on on all the day and I must breathe in the hideous stench.

Movie mania!

I can't wait for Toy Story 3! I saw this super duper display at the cinema (I was going to see Iron Man 2) and it just so happened I had my new talking Cowgirl Jess (courtesy of my boyfriend who got me talking Sheriff Woody for Christmas).
Tonight I think I will watch Dumbo on Blu-ray and cry.

I need a maid.

Today I am fed up. It is my day off today and the house is a shit-hole. All I do is work where I have to clean stuff everyday. Then on my days off my house is so gross I have to clean that too. I just want to cry. I'm not even out of my pyjamas and I can't find any energy to do anything. I need to pick up all the junk, clean EVERYTHING and find time to go to the gym too. I don't want to do any of these things.I want it to rain and for me to get in bed and sleep with a pillow over my head.
To top it all off I have constipated cat who I've been trying to coax into having a poo all morning (she's managed a few nuggets for those that wish to know the details). She is very miserable and keeps running to the litter tray, straining then running away. She also dug up half of my garden trying to go out there too.
Sigh. I need a maid. A maid who will clean my house, iron my clothes, massage my cat's rectum and cheer me up.

Holiday NO activity.

The holiday activities have slowed down some. Yesterday was a non-day and the most exciting thing to happen was going to the gym and watching Trailer Park of Terror.
Today? Pretty much the same.... waiting for a man to come and fill some holes in the walls with plaster. Great stuff.
However, here is a (not very good) picture of me and my nephew on the Sheffield Big Wheel. I think I have my eyes a bit shut because it is very high up! You can see the buildings out the window! Eeeeek!

Holiday activity 5.

Today I went to the cinema to see Kick Ass. From the adverts I thought I would hate it and that is looked cheesy and naff...... But I really did like it! It has everything I want from a film. Ultra-violence AND a bit that made me cry! It was also pretty funny too.......see it!
Now we're looking into ordering a pizza and watching a Giallo film..... or the Touch of Frost box set! Winning combo!

Holiday activity 4.

Today we went to Heeley City Farm and a Peacock (not this one!) fluffed his tail up! There was a grouse-type bird who kept running under his tail and he was getting really angry! His Peahen was not interested in the slightest.
We also watched a Goose making a nest and I said she would lay her eggs. We went for a walk and when we came past again she had laid her eggs and she was honking at all the childdren to get away from her eggs!
We also saw Gerry the cat who lives at the farm lounging in the sun.
Guinea Pigs, Rabbits, Chipmunks, Degus, TARANTULAS, a snake, chickens, ducks, chicks, sheep, lambs, goats.
One sheep was getting ready to lamb. She looked real pissed off, waddling round.
I love animals!
We also sampled the tasty veggie cafe treats.
Lovely!
